Summerhouse is pleased to be running the Badminton Moloh Young Dressage Horse of the Future Qualifier on Friday 21st June 2013. It is open to horses 4 and 5 year old, born 2008 and 2009. The top 2 horses to qualify and the highest placed 4 year old (if not in the first or second place). The freestyle test must include – walk, trot and canter on both reins and some lengthening in trot and stretching down in both walk and trot. Competitors should salute at the finish only Whips may be carried. Tests must be under 4 minutes. Arena 20m x 60m. This class will be run under British Dressage Rules. See schedule for details.

On Sunday 12th May 2013 there is a British Showjumping Amateur Hoys 1.20 Classic. It is Pre Entry and Drawn Order. The first three Horse/Rider combinations will qualify for the final at the Horse of the Year Show. There is a 1.15 Open Warm up Class which is also Pre Entry and Drawn Order. Entries close on Thursday 9th May 2013. Please see schedule for more details of all the classes running on the day.

At prix st georges (PSG), Gloucestershire-based Sara Gallop topped the class with 68.86% riding her 10-year old Danish warmblood Summerhouse Don Diego.

Sara, who trains with Carl Hester and Pammy Hutton, said: "He felt really rideable in the test, so I was able to push him forward and ask for a little bit more. Carl is always telling me off for hurrying my pirouettes, so I made a big effort to slow them down and take my time. I think it paid off."

Sara, who rode four tests at the show, also partnered her eight-year-old Summerhouse Zelham to finish sixth and eighth at medium and advanced medium. At elementary, she was seventh on Summerhouse Bandreo.

We are pleased to be able to continue to run the Eventers Challenge Shows over the Summer months. These are fun exciting competitions run in our Olympic Arena on a surface. Half the course is over show jumps with the second section timed over rustic knock down fences. These events are pre entry and times are given. Dates and schedules can be found here

The Andrews Bowen arena size will be reduced from 60m to 47m as a temporary measure from 12/10/11 to 14/11/11 due to the upgrade of the 2nd indoor arena to have a new Andrews Bowen pro wax surface, new eco friendly kickboards and wall to wall mirrors on the A line.

This exciting project is yet another significant upgrade to our show centre for the benefit of our clients and we thank BEF for their contribution towards this investment.

Summerhouse will not issue refunds for on the day entries. For advance entries refunds will be issued up to 2 weeks before the date of competition, once this date has past no refunds will be given.

Any unpaid entries by the end of the competition day or card/ bank declines will be charged a £10 administration charge.
